Btw, why do some of your mails have a MSGID and some don't?

Some are written directly from SuperBBS, some are written from inside "The Reader" which is a door. Not sure which one has MSGID and which one doesn't. Most of mine come out of the reader.. this particular message is direct from SBBS though.

I also preferred the messages with the soft-CRs, because of dynamic
word wrapping. Is it possible to replace soft-CRs with spaces?

I can't help you there... Al was right about there being a setting in ice

So I'm guessing that anomaly is your side? ...ëîåã

I believe so.. I didn't check the actual character width on the screen, but
I'm guessing it has a problem deciding whether or not to add a crlf on full screen width text at my end, does... and I get double spacing going on... In the scheme of things its nothing catastrophic though.

What's THE READER V4.50? Is it an offline message reader for BBS?

Its actually an ONLINE reader for a hudson/jam/squish message base bbs. Compared to more modern software its probably still a little clunky but compared to the native reading style in RA/SuperBBS/QBBS/ProBoard etc its a positively space age interface that makes skimming and reading through the message base a breeze.

Remarkably easy to install, only had one foible during install which boiled down to fossil emulation. It keeps its own lastread pointers not using the BBS user bases, so depending on how you see it, that can be a good or bad thing. :)
