Interesting, I have it working, though I cheat, because I have multiple IPs on the one Pi, and each BBS's software is bound only to the IPs that BBS uses.

I think THAT is why it's not working, they have the same IP's just different port numbers....

It should still work. The clue about the router in the last message suggests the external IP (or hostname) is being used when it shouldn't be.

I never knew that! Just had a light bulb moment! I'm gonna fix this soon as I can! I kinda understand what I'm doing... what I SHOULDN'T be doing. I'm
pretty much going in a 'big' circle' when I don't have to...

Thanks for the help! I'm sure I can get all my bink's to talk to each other!

Yeah, I never see these issues. In the BBS world, I have public IPs for all systems, so it's a non issue, but for everything else, my natural inclination is to use internal IPs for internal links and external IPs for communication with the outside world.

Dunno why I didn't think of that before... I think because when I first was setting up BBS'ing on telnet (which I just learned how to do in Feb) I tossed out the ideas of using internal IPs for anything. But that was just when I
had just one BBS.. Makes sense though!

I sent a few test messages out... I'm still kinda foggy on how Synchro tosses stuff, but I think I pretty much have it all set up.
    Lets hope!

Be sure your FIDOIN and FIDOOUT timed events are enabled, they are disabled by default.

Yeah, I have a background in networking, so for me it was second nature. I forget things are not as obvious to others as they are to me. :)

I actually JUST noticed that lastnight before I was gonna call it a night! Kinda surprised it was off...even by default

Now to see if I can get BinkD and Mystic to talk to each other on the same computer. That's been my biggest issue...

Like I'm getting closer and closer to figuring this thing out! I can get inbound mail, have the scripts running good for that, it's now the sending
mail out part. I think part of that is getting the right Hub setup right,....

I'm getting there! Hell, I even set up some innerBBS games on The New
Frontier (Synchronet) already!) lol! IRC... did a little modding...

I can do alot with SBBS I see... like... ALOT! Last thing I'm gonna do is redesign the web server

Then I can break someting else! hehe

Shouldn't be too much wrong there. :)

Yeah I've played with IRC, I have Mystic IRC working as well as the default irc.synchro.net. I did have BBSLink, have to set that back up again at some stage.

Yeah, SBBS is pretty flexible. :)
