• Adding Color to Automated Posts

From Beanzilla@21:4/110 to All on Thursday, September 26, 2019 10:51:14
    Hi folks,

I've notices quite a few of the automated posts are in color.
I'm interested in it and would like to know more, like limitations, color codes,
    and the such.

    Take Care,
    Beanzilla

It's fairly easy to add a bit of colour with pipe codes, I think you can find a
chart of those in the mystic docs.

You can also use ansi in messages. The editor in Mystic can be put into ansi mode. Not all systems will be able to display ansi or pipe codes.

I'm using a pre rendered ansi page and just inserting data into it. It depends
on many variables as to what is best. All the different bbs systems and terminals interpret differently.

Try and keep line length including ansi escapes to 80chrs or less. And keep the
    colour changes to a minimum.

I will remember to not go crazy on the colors, and keep the lines under 80.
I didn't think a head on the interpretation being different on different,
    systems and terminals. Thank you.
