    I have no idea, I think both are fairly popular in NSW & Queensland particularly. I'm originally from South Australia and it's all about the
    AFL there.

    I'm not that fussed on either to be honest, never have been although the
    final few games for the national team I'll probably watch. I watched a game with my dad last weekend when my folks came to visit and because the NZ team won I'll watch the semi-final tomorrow night.

    I don't mind watching a little bit of tennis sometimes.. but sport on TV is
    not something I watch much of nor bother watching on the TV news at night.

    Actually when I was in school in country NSW for a time, AFL was not
    popular at all, it was all about rugby League I think (ARL at the time I
    think it was). When we moved to Queensland, it was a bit more popular,
    some liked Rugby others AFL. There wasn't the animosity for AFL as in
    NSW (They call it "Arial Ping Pong)...

    Yeah I don't really understand rugby. I am sure rugby fans will find it interesting, but it's a little boring for my tastes. Not as boring as
    cricket, but up there. :P

    Probably the only sport I watch is the AFL, but then only when I'm
    watching it with others, like my wife and father in law.

    In this part of the country, AFL is by far the most popular code, but I have watched both union and league. All are well worth watching, in my opinion. I understand AFL better, because I grew up with that game, but rugby union and league are both good to watch.
