From Spectre@21:3/105 to Blue White on Monday, July 01, 2019 00:25:00
I am using syncterm. I have no problem with Zmodem transfers when
logged onto my Synchronet BBS or my MagickaBBS. I am able to upload
and download QWK and Bluewave packets just fine.

Only issue I have had with external protocols was on my DOS GT Power
BBS. They worked when I was running the system under OS/2 & VMODEM,
but they all quit working once I moved the system over to run in
    dosemu under linux.

It seems to be something in the extra conversion from DOS serial to TCP and telnet that breaks file transfer. I took a leaf from your message and wrote a couple of small batch files for the BBS in place of up/download protocols, that
copy the packet out to the FTP server and back for the time being, but I'd like to try and get to the bottom of the problem, or figure out a way around it. Maybe we DOS donkeys need a new protocol that takes all the extra stuff into account.

It would take one of us DOS Donkeys that can program in a language
other than COBOL, I think. :)

sounds a bit like, real programmers don't.....

    eat quiche of course...
