I would say yes, since BINK will only transfer files (mail, tics etc) between 2 systems. You'll then need to "process them" with another

Well thats something at least. I have no idea what a tic is aside from the sound an analogue clock makes. I'm somewhat attached to my HMB and seperate echo processing.

For those of us that have trouble polling, I wonder if its feasible to ftp or otherwise pop up some kind of semaphore file at your end requesting a poll? I haven't successfully gotten through in about 5 days now... so its all your end anyways...

I have exactly that same problem. I'm still somewhat perpelxed that its able to "dial" connect, but unable to complete EMSI, and you have no logging for it.
If I could get some, I might be able to get more answers out of JoHo.

I'm starting to wonder about the worth of keeping FD up and running

I can understand that, I have to reset mine pretty much ever day. Unless its had a moment of lucidity and actually worked.

I've suggested it before but I encourage you to look at other options
to collect your fsxNet traffic which at the moment would be either
Binkp style sessions or QWK packets.

Without wanting to reinvent the wheel if I install the blinkin' bink can I still use FE?
