When I made the transition from CP/M to my first PC, I got a 20mb
drive. I said, "Wow, I can dump my entire CP/M collection on that
and still have 2mb left over!"

If was just working with a IIe back then that probably would've worked for me too, you can fit a truckload of 140k compressed floppies into 40Mb. Unfortunately, I was using the IIgs by this stage, which although we're still talking 800k floppies it didn't take anywhere near as many to start using space
up. So I thought it was huge... realised it wasn't going to last long and had
to start hunting for another drive.

Never imaged storage capacities where we are today back in the day. The days of making double sided floppies, installing double-space, RLL
drives, etc seems like nothing. My NAS has 110T.

Isn't that the truth... I just don't have close to 110T though :P
