Why old are you? hahahaha :) My first computer didn't have any hard
drives and the first one with a HDD, had about 40MBs. But i didn't
had a BBS back then... i am sure if i had, i would need more space.

Well my story starts in a slightly different direction. The first computer I got, I had to buy, there was no computer at home. And having acquired Apple II
stuff, I ran with that. Now if I stuck with that, I might not EVER have acquired a HD at all.

Enter the BBS. I love my Apple II, but i'm also not blind to the fact it can't
do everything... And so rather than commit my then IIgs to running a bulletin board, I bought a PeeCee clone to run the BBS and keep my IIgs for my dailey compute. Enter the Hard Drive.

It wasn't until after all this, that I finally got a hard drive for the Apples... the IIgs in particular made the most of it, once you had GS/OS up and
running.... so call it a late start, into slightly larger format drives.

I loved the Apple // line (the only time you will ever hear me say
the word "love" and "apple" in the same sentence). I had several

I have to concur there. Up until then Apple was for the most part like a big cuddly teddy bear that had your back compared to the corporates. Funny how things go.... They lost me after the IIgs too, Macs just never appealed to me, the only one I had was old SE30's as a file server :)
