DCTedit - Well this one is even worse.. again pklited and runtime 200s. extracted and patched it goes for heap overflow errors.

So for the time being IceEdit is still it. Might have to revisit some of the also rans like OpenEdit...

Ahh.. sorry to hear that. A lot of software from that time was
pklited and contained those RTE 200 issues that didn't exist at the
time but showed up later on. Bummer.

Was worth a shot. I have in mind a lot of pkliting was done not for security but to overcome a DOS exe binary limitation around maximum size. Not sure how accurate that is... something about size and memory requirements. So unpacking breaks the original savings, patching is hit and miss... re-pkliting doesn't seem to fix the original problems though.
