So having had a brief look at jamnntpd, I suspect I'm probably better off retiring INN, which means I don't need to scrape one and send to the other locally.

So I'd have remote nntp -> Scraped -> JamNNTP -> tosser -> hudson and back again the other way.

This way I just need to change the port JamNN is running on, configure a second

mail tosser for hudson-JAM duty, reconfigure SUCK if need be to talk to jamNNTPd...

I see something about a "ReadMsg" door that might handle JAM, but I can't say I've seen or heard of it before.

I have not really been following this thread. What are you trying
to do? Pull in newsgroups into FTN packets to read on your software?

Initially, I was just trying to put a webby front end on my message base, but I

needed to get from hudson to nntp to do so. You might recall I've been trying to get the packet converter working for some time.

Then I discovered I could still suck in news groups so I added them in as well. Which is really just an extension of the same. I'm not looking to export from nntp and also get my local areas over to it as well.

I'm not sure I understand the Scraped bit...

Scrape implies using something like suck, its a pull feed rather push nntp feed.

Why do you need to read your messages via the BBS? Or your users
    prefer it?

Well thats for those that read via the BBS, the web/nntp was for those that don't of which if I can get it working, probably have 2 or 3 users the will web

point and click rather than text interface it.

Personally I keep using the reader via the BBS, but I could probably just run it locally.
