What's there, the weibo which has an ESP32, as these things go I can't locate mine its not the 32 its and older version. Anyway its already programmed with zimodem. If you hook the other little board up tx/rx/+5/gnd you'll have a wifimodem. It'll start up in 1200 initially.

And then there is the OrangePi all you need there is a 1Gb+ sdcard and a copy of armbian from I'm not sure which one it is now, PI Zero maybe..

I'll have to check it out. You said it was TTL level? So I need
a level converter if interfacing to something else, I'm guessing.

Thats what the little board with the DB9 on it is. TTL->232 converter/adapter.
You just need to hook it into +5 and gnd on the weibo to power it, and TX/RX for data...
