I'm a DC guy as far as the comics, but LOVE the Marvel movies!

I say Marvel and 35 years, but my very first job was circulation in a News Agency, fancy way of being the junior marking and returning magazines. In which one of the perks was to stack away one of every comic that came through the door and read the lot during breaks. :) Ahh those were the days...

I became somewhat one eyed a bit later... Used to rather 2000AD as well, until they kept recycling the stories. :/

    Used to rather 2000AD as

    Sorry - I don't understand the reference...

2000AD is/was an english comic magazine. It used to serialise 4/5 different titles into the one cover. Home to such luminaries as Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, The VC's, ABC Warriors and so forth. Here it had a kind of alternative feel to it, not sure what they call them, but it was a larger page format.. on newsprint... mostly black and white. In the end they were repeating past stories all the time, and ended up somewhat mainstream by the original stalwarts.

FUN FACT - My first BBS was called "Strontium 90" and my sysop handle
was "Dredd" back in the day. Later became "Johnny Alpha" -- the star
of Strontium Dog -- then just shortened it to "Alpha" currently.

I went through a few different phases with 2000AD, Judge Dredd was probably the initial favourite. But in the end I preferred Rogue Trooper, and The VC's... depending on the story ABC warriors wasn't to bad either.
