    From Vorlon@3:633/280 to deon on Friday, August 05, 2022 11:19:52

    Hello deon!

    Can you please check your hub system. Connections are *very* slow, and your end is refusing packets.

    Could you also please email me, as I can't find your email address.

    vk3heg@vk3heg.net

    Thanks,

    Vorlon

    Hub or BBS?

    I just tested both, and they are both running - so a log would be helpful.

    I see it - BBS. Synchronet has gone 100% on 2 CPUs... so something has gone astray... I'll restart it.

    Your Tor Onion service and/or Tor proxy seems to be down, too.

    OK, that one I found - my IPv6 prefix changed.

    Should be good now?

    Outgoing (3/100->102) seems to be fine, but I cannot connect to your hub's onion address.

    Hello Alterego,

    I have been missing Spectre's posts for some reason so I sent a netmail to Areafix@21:3/100 to connect. I haven't received a reply yet but I see in the log it says "Warning: remote set UNSECURE session" followed by "pwd protected session (MD5).

    So.. I'm not sure if that netmail landed in your unprotected inbound??

    I'm not sure why the unprotected session..

    Ttyl :-),
    Al

    ... Gee! How'd you ever get it to do THAT?

    Inbound netmails are still processed, so I checked the log and it was processed:

    And a reply packaged for you:
    L 04:07:17 Wrote Netmail: 21:3/100.0 -> 21:4/106.0
    7 04:07:18 Msg from 21:3/100 to 21:4/106 packed via 21:4/100

    But I have some echomail here waiting for you to collect.

    So looks like the binkp password is the issue.

    <checking>

    Sure enough - your binkd config was missing (confused) - but I've added it back and polled you. Success - mail transferred :)
