• Caught some odd concerts

Friends gave us some tickets to a Peter Noonan & Herman's Hermits concert at a very reto vaudville theater about 30 miles north. They hadn't mentioned that the tickets were center second row, so it was a pretty interesting show. Even though we were amongteh youngest there, we had a great time.

Then at another retro vaudville theater, this time about 30 miles south, we caught Postmodern Jukebox, which basically reworks modern hits into slapper era tunes. Four gal singers were each awesome voices, a lead male singer who was amazing, and a "Mr Bogangles" tap dance artist who was worth the price of admission on his own, back up by a first class caberet band (piano, base, guitar, two horns (of woodwind and one brass) who when each took solos were also world class).

It was really fun to get to go to live music again. I am always amazed at the talent in these groups.

Peter Noone is a great entertainer. I was at a concert in Dallas which
was hosted by the local radio station and it had a buffet. I'd just
been through the line and sat down at the last open table when I couple
of the band members went through and were looking for somewhere to sit,
so I offered them seats at my table. Had a nice conversation about the
state of music these days and the lack of variety and stuff like that.

I was going through the list of upcoming concerts, A-ha, Steve Hackett,
and Pet Shop Boys/New Order, OMD when I suddenly realized I had tickets
for Colin Hay and totally forgot about them. Thankfully that concert
    isn't until May!

I've now printed the tickets for that show!
